Winter 4th Grade Concert

My daughter started orchestra this year at her school and just loves it.  She decided to play the violin and has been playing since September.  Here is a clip of their winter concert.  It's amazing what these kids have learned in such a short period of time.  The concert was enjoyed by all!  What a wonderful blessing.

We just loved viewing the video!! How precious and we are sure she is going to be accepted into the Juilliard School of Music next year!!! Of course we might be just a little biased coming from the very PROUD Grandparents!!

Hi Wendy,
Happy New Year! It's been so fun to catch up on your blog. What a HAPPY birthday you had! I love to see the pics of you laughing.
It seems like were just in band last year...you on flute? All three of my boys have gone through and/or are playing in the strings program at school. It cracks me up, because we never had that offered to us, only the band! I can't help them with the stringed instruments!! I wish we had videoed Landon's concert, you would see the exact same thing, just a different state and different kids. From the song selection, to concert attire, to plucking the strings, kids everywhere sawed out a precious redition of Jingle Bells!

Audra,

Great to hear from you! It's hard to believe it was all those years ago in band! I loved it and I remember you on the clarinet! What a great time and lots of memories. Do you remember the band trips? How scary! Hope you had a great holiday season. It's been hard to get back into the swing of things around here. The kids just started back to school today. BTW, I finally listened to your interview and just loved it. I am so happy for you in your success. I would love to read your book when it comes out. I am sad to say I didn't realize all that your were going through during middle school and hight school. It's amazing what shapes our lives and thank God we have Him to go to for support. I wish I would have known that better back then, but it's never too late to start!

Hi Wendy,
I just came back and saw your response - sorry it took so long! Yes, the band trips were really scary!! I'd have a hard time letting my sons go on something like that today. They travel, but always with the church groups. Please don't worry about not knowing about everything I went through, I spent all my time trying to hide it and trying to appear perfect. I never got close to people, and if I did, I hid that part of my life as best I could. Thank you for your compliments on the interview, it was a lot of fun, and I hope it will be the first of many.
Are you back in the swing of things? My mom is coming today, for 10 days, so I don't think I'm going to see any routine for awhile! : ) Blessings to you and your family!
